This flavorful Patiala rice is best enjoyed with any veg or non-veg gravy or with some delicious daal preparations. Patiala rice is prepared with potatoes, peanuts and soya.

  • 2 Potatoes
  • 6 Dried Red Chillies
  • 1 bunch Soya
  • 1 cup, shelled Peanuts
  • 4 tablespoon Oil
  • 4 tablespoon Turmeric Powder
  • Salt As required
  • 6 finely chopped Garlic Clove
  • 1kg Boiled Rice
  • 4 Curry Leaves
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seed
  • 2 tablespoon Murgh Cholay Masala
  • Mango Pickle: To serve with

Heat the oil in a large pot.

Peel and cube the potatoes and fry with the garlic, mustard seed, curry leaves, peanuts, dried red chilies, turmeric, salt, and Murgh Cholay Masala.

When the potatoes are cooked through, add the rice and mix everything thoroughly.

Sprinkle the soya on top, stir, and let the pot steam for 10 minutes.

Serve with Mango Pickle.
